Reliable Clinical Data

Our Mission

For pharmaceutical companies and their consumers, both professional (physicians) and personal (general public), Coastal Carolina Research Center is the Charleston area’s most proactive, reactive resource that provides reliable clinical data to advance new medical treatments designed to improve the quality of life for millions of people around the world.

Most compelling opportunity to replace the public’s apprehension or misconception of Coastal Carolina Research Center’s work in clinical research with a full understanding of, appreciation for and involvement in the positive impact trial results have in the lives of participants and the world at large.

Our History

Coastal Carolina Research Center (CCRC) is a private, locally-owned medical research facility located in North Charleston, SC.  CCRC is a “dedicated” medical research facility which means we are totally focused on conducting clinical trials on behalf of pharmaceutical companies. We provide access for thousands of Charleston Lowcountry citizens who are interested in volunteering for and participating in clinical trials and research studies that focus primarily on “outpatient” studies in multiple therapeutic areas and diseases.

How we started and Who we are

CCRC was founded in August 1997 by two nurses. These two nurses started out in a small 950 square foot office in Mt. Pleasant, and the research center has enjoyed consistent and steady growth over the past 23 years. Currently we occupy a brand new 7,800 square foot North Charleston office we relocated to in January 2021, and are planning to grow into adjacent space in 2022. CCRC employs over 45 dedicated research staff and contracts with 10+ additional research staff. Nathan Morton, who serves as our current President provides strategic planning and corporate vision.
